Tamil celebrity couple Surya and Jyothika got a beautiful baby girl. Today 08/10/2007, they became the proud parents of a beautiful baby girl. Earlier today Jyothika was hospitalized in a private nursing home where she gave birth to a baby girl at about 7.30pm. This came as a surprise to the family since her due date was on August 13th. September 11, 2006: Capping their nearly three-year long love affair, celebrity Tamil film actors Surya and Jothika today entered into a wedlock in the presence of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and members of the Tamil celluloid world. 
Also present were Union Communication Minister Dayanidhi Maran, and nearly an hour after Karunanidhi and Maran left the venue, AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa also visited and blessed the couple. 
Dressed in a pink silk saree with gold border, Jothika was wearing diamond rings and necklace, while Surya was in a pure white silk full shirt and dhoti. Top film stars who attended the wedding included Rajnikant, his wife and daughter, Kamal Hasan, Sathyaraj, Abbaas and Prasanth. 
Surya’s father and popular actor of yesteryear Shivakumar and his family members were there to receive the guests. On August 5, Surya’s father announced the wedding, ending speculations about their romance that were doing rounds in the Kollywood. Jothika, daughter of Chander Sadanah, is also a cousin of another popular actress Nagma. 
Coming together on-screen for the first time in Poovellam Kettur Paar, the duo paired in about 10 films, including Uyirile Kalandadhu and Kakka Kakka. Surya, with his success in Ghajini, had broken into the top five heroes category, while Jothika’s latest hit was Rajinikant-starrer Chandramukhi. Both have bagged several awards, including the best actor and actress given by the Tamil Nadu Government.
